Drone Survey Near Campuses

Parents & Guardians,

Below is information provided by Schaumburg & Polk Inc. regarding drone survey work to be performed near H.G. Temple and Diboll High School campuses tomorrow.

As you may recall, this was originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, but inclement weather in the area caused them to cancel.

NOTICE: Drone Survey Activity Near Campus

Please be advised that a survey crew will conduct authorized drone (UAV) operations along Lumberjack Drive on Wednesday, September 15, 2026, between approximately 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. This activity is part of routine engineering design work related to ongoing utility infrastructure construction in the area and is a standard step in the survey process.

The survey crew will remain along the Lumberjack Drive right-of-way and will take precautions to avoid flying over school property. This activity is routine and poses no privacy or safety concerns to students or staff.
