• Hacer realidad el potencial de cada niño comprometiendo, apoderando, y abogando por todos los niños, las familias, y las comunidades.
PTA's Purpose
• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;
• To raise the standards of home life;
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate
intelligently in the education of children and youth;
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children
and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
Los propósitos de la PTA
• Promover el bienestar de los niños y jóvenes en el hogar, la escuela, la comunidad y el lugar de culto.
• Mejorar los estándares de la vida familiar.
• Asegurar leyes adecuadas para el cuidado y la protección de niños y jóvenes.
• Establecer una relación estrecha entre la escuela y el hogar; que los padres y los maestros cooperen
inteligentemente en la educación de niños y jóvenes.
• Desarrollar entre los educadores y el público en general esfuerzos conjuntos que aseguren las
mejores ventajas físicas, mentales, sociales y espirituales en la educación de todos los niños y
jóvenes.

PTA is a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have an interest in children, families and schools. By joining PTA, a member becomes part of the largest child advocacy organization in the state with nearly 600,000 members across Texas.
Membership is open to anyone concerned with the education, health and welfare of children and youth. Student members for a PTSA must be in the 9th grade or above. Dues are $6.00 per year.
